  • Unsigned document uploaded from meeting page
  • All signers available for the meeting
  • ID verification completed before appointment

Apostille Services

  • Destination country
  • Document type and issuing authority

Valid Photo ID Is Required

The signer or person being fingerprinted must present valid identification. The name on the ID should reasonably match the document or agency paperwork.

Common acceptable IDs

  • State driver license
  • State identification card
  • Passport
  • U.S. military ID
  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Resident alien card / green card

Name matching matters

If your ID name and document name differ materially, bring supporting documentation or contact us before booking.

Expired ID can block service

Expired, damaged, unclear, or non-photo identification may not be acceptable. Confirm before the appointment if there is any doubt.

Do Not Sign Too Early Unless Your Instructions Allow It

Many notarizations require the notary to witness the signature or administer an acknowledgment or oath properly.

For online notarization

  • Upload the unsigned document from your meeting page
  • Complete ID verification before the meeting
  • Sign electronically or physically during the meeting

For physical signing

  • Sign only when instructed
  • Use the correct signature name
  • Upload the signed document from the meeting page when required

For witnesses

  • Confirm whether witnesses are required before booking
  • Add additional signers or witnesses when prompted
  • Make sure everyone has ID and access to the meeting

Apostille and International Requirements Need Extra Review

If a document will be used outside the United States, notarization may only be the first step.

Know the destination country

The country determines whether apostille, authentication, legalization, or another route may be needed.

Know the document source

Vital records, school records, corporate records, court records, federal documents, and notarized private documents have different requirements.

Know your deadline

Rush, expedited, and emergency handling depend on document readiness, agency processing, and delivery timing.

Common Requirements People Miss

Wrong document version

The receiving party may require a certified copy, original, wet signature, specific form version, or specific wording.

Missing agency instructions

If an employer, school, court, agency, or foreign recipient gave instructions, bring or upload them.

Unclear signer count

Add all signers and witnesses when booking so the service can be priced and routed correctly.

Fingerprinting confusion

Mobile fingerprinting is ink-card fingerprinting, not electronic Live Scan. Confirm what your agency accepts.

Apostille country mismatch

Hague and non-Hague countries do not always use the same process. Confirm the destination before ordering.

Booking too close to deadline

If timing is tight, use emergency support instead of a standard service route.
