Notarize eligible documents online through a secure live meeting with a New York notary. Upload your document from your meeting page, complete ID verification, and sign electronically or physically during your appointment.
Remote Online Notarization is for eligible documents that can be notarized through a live audio-video meeting.
Some documents may require witnesses, wet signatures, physical signing, or special handling. If your document has agency-specific instructions, upload it from your meeting page after booking.
After booking, upload your unsigned document directly from your meeting page. Do not email documents unless specifically instructed.
During the meeting, you may sign electronically or physically, depending on your document requirements and what the receiving party accepts.
Use RON for consent letters, affidavits, authorization forms, travel documents, sworn statements, and other eligible personal paperwork.
Online notarization can support business agreements, vendor forms, authorizations, onboarding paperwork, and recurring internal document workflows.
If your notarized document will be used overseas, it may also need apostille or international document handling after notarization.
If your document cannot be notarized online, needs wet-ink signing, requires physical witnesses, or must be signed at a home, office, hospital, care facility, or closing location, use Mobile Notary instead.
RON is usually faster when your document is eligible for online notarization. Mobile Notary is better when the signer, document, witness, or receiving party requires an in-person signing.
Need a notary to come to you? Mobile Notary appointments are available for powers of attorney, wills, affidavits, acknowledgments, oaths, closings, and other documents requiring in-person service.
If your document needs additional handling, use the related pages below.
If you need FD-258 ink fingerprint cards, use the dedicated Mobile Fingerprinting service instead of Online Notary or Mobile Notary.
Complete the booking form with your appointment time, number of notary stamps, number of signers, and document details.
Complete these steps before and during your remote online notarization appointment.
